What Should You Do Before a House Rewire?
A practical checklist for preparing your home before a rewire starts.
Plan the layout
Walk round each room and note where you want sockets, switches, lights, TV points and data. Think about furniture positions.
Clear and protect
Empty the rooms being worked on first, lift or protect carpets if agreed, and box up fragile items. Agree with us which rooms need clearing when.
Line up other trades
If plastering or decorating isn't included, book your plasterer and decorator to follow on so the house isn't left half-finished.
